Priscilla Elliott Polvani, loving wife of 60 years to Arthur Polvani Jr., passed away on the evening of Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the age of 87. She had a peaceful transition surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 20, 1931 in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred (Bailey) Elliott. Her father, an admiral in the United States Navy, gave her love for the water. With that love came many trips to the beach and days by the YMCA pool with her children and grandchildren. Her passion and guiding light was always her love for her family.
Her creativity was enjoyed by all who knew her, whether it be her illustrations, crafts or baking. Priscilla’s kindness, empathy and warmth never failed to fill a room, and her generous nature was second to none. A lover of animals, she had a number of cats and dogs over the years and supported many charitable causes to aid in rescuing, sheltering and preserving animals of all kinds.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her three children, James Polvani, Susan Papallo and her husband Daniel and Lynn Kipphut and her husband Scott; her eight grandchildren, Travis Landry, David Polvani Jr., Sarah Polvani, Danielle and Jason Papallo, Matthew Kipphut, Giustina Schiano-DiCola and Shaina Jade Torres; and her great-grandson, Anthony. She joins her son, David, and her loving parents in heaven.
A private service for Priscilla’s closest family members will be held in her memory. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave, Meriden, CT 06450
