Anthony Louis Dominello, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 4, 2018. He was a lifelong Meriden resident and was employed by Pratt & Whitney in North Haven for thirty-five years as a Quality Review Specialist. Anthony served in the U.S. Army during World War II 276th Armored Field Artillery Battalion in Europe, including the Battle of the Bulge. Over the years, he enjoyed bowling, family get togethers and summer vacations to Louisiana.
He is survived by his wife of seventy-two years, Judy; son, David; Grandson, Michael; great granddaughter, Alayna Dominello; sisters, Rose Fortunato, Theresa Stumpf and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Filomena, Father Pasquale “Patsy”, stepmother, Mary, son, John Dominello and sister Jeanette Vinci.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden. Burial with military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, January 14th from 1 to 4 p.m. Anthony’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the first responders, Engine 1 and South Meriden Fire Department for their efforts. They conducted themselves in a professional and respectful manner. Every life that Anthony touched will miss him dearly.
