Winifred S. Kiewlen, 92, wife of the late Edward R. Kiewlen, died on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Westfield Care and Rehab. Born in New Britain on April 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Winifred Sedgwick. She was a loyal employee of J.C. Penney Co. for more than 25 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Sforza of Southington and Winnie Caillouette and her husband, Wayne Sr., of Meriden; six grandchildren, Shawn McConnon and his wife Maria of Bristol, Lisa Langlois and her husband Todd of Somers, Wayne Caillouette and his wife Kara of Longmeadow, MA, Jeff Caillouette of Meriden, Nicholas Sforza and his wife Laura of Bristol, Jodie Sforza of Naugatuck; 16 great-grandchildren, Jason D’Allesandro of Manchester, Megan Sforza and her fiancé Edwin Leon of Waterbury, Nicholas and Jenna Sforza of Bristol, Jillian Caillouette of Meriden, Tyler DeGumbia of South Windsor, Alexis DeGumbia of Naugatuck, Sam and Hannah Caillouette of Longmeadow, MA, Shawn and Constance McConnon of Bristol, Bethany, Matthew, and Emma Langlois of Somers, Zachary and Zoey Parker of Bristol and two great-grandchildren Bryson and Noah Leon of Waterbury. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Winifred was predeceased by a brother, Charles Sedgwick and a sister, Betty Baldwin.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial to be held on Friday, August 4th at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish, St. Joseph Campus 22 Goodwill Avenue, Meriden, CT 06450. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J.
