Peter John Lemay Jr, 52, of Cheshire, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, April 9, 2017. Born in Meriden on February 23, 1965, he was the son of Diane Castro of Meriden and Peter John Lemay Sr. and his wife Cheryl of Cheshire.
Mr. Lemay was working in landscape construction and was a former South Meriden volunteer firefighter. Peter had a passion for the outdoors, hunting and fishing were his life. He was an avid animal lover. Most of all, Peter loved his family.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his son, Hunter D. Lemay and his mother Sandy Lefebvre of Stratford, a brother Michael Lemay Sr. of Meriden, a sister Tina Dumaine of Cheshire, three nephews, Paul and Dylan Dumaine and Michael Lemay Jr. and one niece Hannah Dumaine. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents Sam and Carol Carabetta of Meriden and his close friend Gary Wodatch of Meriden.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the John J. Ferry and Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden. Burial will be private. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 4 to 7 pm.
